CollECTeR (Massey University), directed by Associate Professor Dennis Viehland, focuses on the development of electronic commerce and mobile commerce research in the context of the New Zealand commercial environment. Current projects include a number of small and medium-sized research projects by academic staff and students.
CollECTeR (Waikato University), involves two active e-government researchers (Dr. Eric Deakins and Dr. Stuart Dillon). Its activities focus on benchmarking developments in e-(local) government in New Zealand and other national settings, including the developing world. While being concerned with electronic business generally, current research by staff and doctoral students is primarily concerned with the impact of Web 2.0 technologies and online social networks on government and business enterprises.
